Since 2008, we have conducted more than 500 tDCS sessions in patients with various chronic pain syndromes, for example: 

  • Complex Regional Pain Syndrome, formerly known
    as Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (CRPS/RSD)
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Migraines
  • Post-Stroke Pain Syndrome
  • Low-back Pain
  • Trigeminal Neuralgia and other types of facial pain
  • Phantom-limb Pain



and other types of chronic neuropathic  pain.

Our mission is to provide Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (tDCS)  to relieve chronic pain in patients whose pain does not respond to conventional therapies.

The Institute for Noninvasive Brain Stimulation of New York was established within the Department of Pain Medicine and Palliative Care, Beth Israel Medical Center, New York, in 2008.
